A bellows expansion joint is a pressure pipeline compensating element that uses the elastic deformation of a bellows element to absorb thermal expansion, displacement, and vibration caused by temperature changes, pressure pulsation, equipment vibration, or ground settlement. The core component is a multi-layer thin-wall stainless steel (or alloy) bellows that simultaneously withstands internal pressure while accommodating axial, lateral, and angular movement.
